Top 100 charity

Hope Air has been chosen as one of Canada’s best 100 charities by Maclean’s magazine, MoneySense magazine and Charity Intelligence based on efficiency, transparency and need.

Accommodations for frontline workers

Hope Air and Airbnb provided more than 300 frontline workers with free accommodations in Ontario and British Columbia during the COVID-19 pandemic so they could self-isolate and protect others. Due to the relationships with hospitals and healthcare institutions, Hope Air was able to quickly reach out to frontline workers and help as many as possible.

Delivering PPE materials

Hope Air volunteer pilots and board members Jay Woo and Gerd Wengler flew missions to deliver needed surgical masks, face shields and N95 respirators to frontline healthcare workers in Ontario and Quebec where supplies were scarce and not available locally. They delivered more than 115,000 pieces of PPE.

Give Hope Wings:
The Sault to Saguenay Expedition

The five-day flying expedition led by a group of pilots and volunteers raised $122,056, far exceeding the fundraising goal by 22 per cent. The expedition travelled through Northern Ontario and Quebec at the beginning of October. The funds allowed Hope Air to provide 488 flights for patients in need.
